Rae has experienced the heartache of losing several dogs in her life. Each one’s passing left its own paw print in her heart. After a 35 year law practice she decided to set aside her legal pad and write instead to help children of all ages discover the profound blessings dogs bring to our lives. Elliott and Oso’s story in Best Friends Forever is her first in a series of children’s books about dogs. Rae lives in Colorado with her husband, horses and dogs. When she is not playing with them she volunteers as a Certified K9 Handler for La Plata County Search and Rescue and Colorado Forensic Canine
